About
The transition program at Manhattan Star Academy (MSA) offers internships to students with intellectual and developmental disabilities. These internships give young people ages 14-21 opportunities to explore potential employment interests. Students are empowered to build their skills and prepare for meaningful employment in the future.
In return, local businesses gain hardworking volunteers who can assist with tasks such as stocking shelves, greeting customers, ushering, cleaning, setting tables, and more. Companies also receive onsite, comprehensive support from MSA’s trained job coaches and therapists to make sure the internship is successful for everyone.
