Annual YAI Hudson Valley Autism Conference Goes Virtual November 20
Conference to feature expert commentary, Continuing Education credit opportunities

NEW YORK, NY (November 12, 2020) -- YAI is pleased to announce its annual Hudson Valley Autism Conference will take place virtually this year on November 20 from 9-1:30 p.m. EST, and it will focus on supporting the journey to emotional regulation. The conference will feature leading online influencer and autism and depression expert Dr. Dan Tomasulo for the Spirituality Mind Body Institute at Columbia University. In addition, author Lindsey Biel, M.A., OTR/L, and Autism Level Up founders Drs. Amy Laurent and Jacquelyn Fede will also present on Sensory Smart™ strategies during the pandemic and how to effectively regulate emotions, respectively.

Since this year's event is virtual, the conference will be open to audiences across the country. This, according to YAI Hudson Valley Regional Director Kathy Schiavi, is an opportunity for people outside of the region to see first-hand the breadth of expertise present here.

“We are excited about the possibilities of hosting the Hudson Valley Autism Conference virtually this year, because professionals and developmental disability community members from across the nation will now have the opportunity to learn from some of our leading experts in the field,” Schiavi said. “As always, the conference will be a great jumping off point for others to not only network and earn CE credits in social work but also collaborate and really explore the topic of ‘supporting the journey to emotional regulation’ for people with autism.”
