Psychological Testing

YAI's Center for Specialty Therapy provides diagnostic evaluations to assist in determining the presence or absence of a developmental disability according to guidelines of the State of New York through the use of well-substantiated measures. Tests typically used include the Stanford-Binet Intelligence Scales – Fifth Edition, the Comprehensive Test of Nonverbal Intelligence – Second Edition, Leiter International Performance Scale – Third Edition, Bayley Scales of Infant and Toddler Development – Third Edition, and/or the Vineland Adaptive Behavior Scales – Third Edition. Recommendations are made based on direct observation and interaction, interviews, and available records. Guardianship evaluations can also be completed.
