Staff member Maria Cuneo has always enjoyed spending time with her uncle.

Maria, a Senior Residential Supervisor of our Wagner and Woodycrest homes, has always taken pride in her career in the field of intellectual and developmental disabilities. She would frequently talk about her work while visiting with her uncle, a member of the Kiwanis Club of Manhasset-Port Washigton. But it was until recently that her uncle suggested the Kiwanis support YAI through its service projects.

Thanks to this partnership, the Kiwanis recently donated $10,000 to YAI. The funds were raised during the summer golf outting and will benefit children and young adults we support throughout our organization.

"To be recognized by family members for what you do is a wonderful feeling," Maria said.

The Kiwanis Club of Manhasset-Port Washington raises funds to the support the needs of the local community. The club welcomes men and women of all ages and cultures.
