It didn't take the Long Island law firm of Kirschenbaum, Phillips & Roach, P.C., to recognize that Miriam was a star.

Miriam, who receives support from our Long Island Employment Services program, started at the firm in January. She scans important documents into the computers, files, and distributes mail. She was recently named Employee of the Month.

"Miriam comes in every day on time, does her work, has a great attitude and is a valuable addition to our staff," said Irwin Kirschenbaum, a Partner with the firm.

Miriam is proud to be working at her first job. "I love my job," she said. "I'm very excited."

"She is a great worker, so focused and pleasant," said Cina Palumbo, her supervisor.

"Miriam loves to learn; she alway wants to improve," added John Keating, her YAI job coach.
