In less than 24 hours I will be touching down in Orlando, Fla., on my way to Disney World with YAI's Leisure Trax travel program with 14 tremendous travelers and five spectacular staff members. While many believe this is simply a vacation, I know that it is so much more.

I believe travel creates opportunities to actualize so many of my travellers lifelong goals. What is more independent than packing a suitcase and buckling your seatbelt on a flight for the first time without your family? Community inclusive you say? That's what we're all about, and we'll have hundreds if not thousands of people to say hello to along the way. It's the implementation of clinical skills in nontraditional settings, and it's my passion.

From coping with schedule changes, learning how to get along well with others, creating solutions and accommodations to ensure success and working through irrational thoughts with cognitive behavior therapy, the list goes on and on. You say a vacation? I say a learning opportunity for travelers and staff like no other.
